I am a researcher looking for volunteers who are 19 years old, or older, and currently active in the swinging lifestyle to participate in a research study. The purpose of this research study is to contribute to the generalized body of scientific knowledge and inform sociologists about gender and sexual health issues. This portion of the research study consists of an eight-section survey, although some answers may exclude some sections. The time commitment for completing the survey is approximately 5 to 10 minutes. The benefits of this research include building upon existing scientific knowledge that identifies predictive factors for unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Thus, this study aims to inform our understanding of gender and sexual health. Medical and mental health providers may also learn about consensual nonmonogamous behaviors and expand birth control and sexually transmitted infections counseling to include those that behave outside of monogamous norms; monogamous norms being the socially accepted beliefs and practices that are associated with monogamy, which is defined within this study as mutually exclusive sexual relations between two people.
